Can some1 help me to sort out my problem:
- I was working for a company A in L1-B which was about to expire by Dec 2006. So I applied for H1 and got the petition / application approved. I received the I94 also.
- But due to some reason, I travelled back to India and didn't submit the H1-I94 @ the port of exit.
- Now the same company A again processed me L1 in India and Im back to US after a yr. with the new L1 and never told any1 about my existing H1B visa
I need to know whether can I start looking jobs on that H1B without legal procedures?
Is there anything i have to do in order to activate my H1??

The US Department of Labor is reporting to the American Immigration Lawyers Association that it has adjudicated about half of the estimated 362,000 labor certification cases at its backlog reduction center and that it has issued 45 day letters in every case now.

I have filed for the 7nth year extension based on my pending labor (365 days old). The perm is picked up for an audit. Incase if the perm is denied, will h1b also be rejected ?

I have to file for I-485 along with EAD and AP, I live in Phoenix and I am applying for 485 based on an approved I-140 based on NIW. Please let me know if I have to file in the Phoenix lockbox or send it to Nebraska.

I'm glad to see Immigration Voice weighing in on this one. If your wife is using the EAD obtained after you filed I-485, she is no longer on H4. Technically there is no reason for her to still be on H4 but if you want her to maintain H4 she may need to travel out of country and obtain a new H4 visa with your new approved H1.
Also technically she was not out of status since you spplied I-485 before the previous H4 expired.

I was entered into the United States when I was 8 years old. I was entered on the plane with a fake passport and ever since I've been using my real name. I used my real name for school and college. I'm currently here illegally. I want to start my process of application for citizenship but there is a problem. My lawyer told me to marry under the name i entered with and so i did. Before we started the application he realized i was finger printed under my real name so if i were to apply my finger prints would show already in the system. So the only solution is to change my fake name to my real name (which doesnt have a visa) on the marriage license. How do i go about doing so? and will i still be able to obtain a green card? I reside in massachusetts.

Hi All
I have submitted my Indian passport for renewal at Houston Indian consulate via mail , it�s been close to a month I haven�t heard anything from consulate. I tried calling them up, no one attends the call.
Do you have any idea how can I speed up this process? Does personal visit to Houston consulate will help in speeding this up? Does passport submitted via mail can be handed over to me in person ?

Hi,
I have not filled for some of my address changes with the AR-11 forms, i was not aware of this. But in the G-325 it is asked for all the address in the past 5 years.
Will this create any problem. How should we correct this. Anybody has idea.
