A 182 year old piece of ephemera about a definitely non-ephemeral 185 year old Torah scroll.

This notice of a raffle of a Sefer Torah written by R. Azariah Figo (1579-1647) is from London, 1829. Perhaps the scroll he saw was this one!

The Jewish Encylopedia (1906) says "Figo was an excellent scribe, and the scrolls which he wrote are highly prized," which sounds like a fanciful interpretation of the Chida.
